>> In this video we show you how to load and browse multi-dimensional data in Gitools.
>> Here we have an open instance of Gitools. We will select the icon for opening a heatmap
from a file. >> As you can see, the multi-value matrix
file has the extension .tdm.
>> After loading the results we can see the matrix that is represented as a heatmap. We
can see the patients as columns and the genes as rows.
>> In the properties panel to the left, you can adjust which value-dimension you want
to visualize. >> In this multi-dimensional matrix we have
alteration, and two different expression values per patient and gene.
>> This data is best represented by linear two sided scale. We select it and load for
each value our preferred scale (which we have created and saved before).
>> All the scales we are loading are linear two sided scales with different color settings.
>> The column labels on the top of the heatmap are not shown since we have decreased the
column width. Thus we also decrease the column header size to minimize the white space.
>> Now we can load some annotations to understand better which genes we are seeing.
>> We select the prepared file, and add a new header.
>> We selet a text label because we want to annotate the matrix with the gene symbol.
>> We can modify text font, style, size and color as we please.
>> Now that we see our data as we like, we can browse around the different data dimensions.
[Browsing: Details panel gives overview over all data dimensions]
[Browsing: Properties panel lets us switch what value we see in the heatmap]
>> That's it, that's how you browse and visualize multi-dimensional data in Gitools.
