Our swim camps are divided into three parts: PEAK 1, PEAK 2, and PEAK 3.
PEAK 1 is focused primarily on the physical,
with
twenty five percent, I would say,
focused on the technical
and there, we get kids who, the more advanced swimmers -- the swimmers typically
who have
big meets coming up in the summertime and they want to stay in shape -- so they come
and they participate in PEAK 1, so we keep them in shape.
We send them home physically fit as well as technically fit.
PEAK 2 is a 50/50 blend of
training and technique work
and
we use the iPad a lot in PEAK 2.
We film the kids are the kids get instant feedback and we challenge them
through the week to improve their technique.
PEAK 3 is just a
half-day camp.
The other two are full-day camps. PEAK 3 is a half-day camp, more or less
just to kind of introduce kids to competitive swim camps. We do
two hours of swimming, we do some dry land training and have a little mental
session with them
so basically the camp is divided up into those three different segments because I get a
lot of different kids coming to my camp. I get kids who are national level
swimmers all the way down to kids who just started, so basically from novice to
senior.
