I was fortunate enough to be admitted to medical school, which was a lifelong dream, and while
in medical school, I met an attending physician who was one of the first medical oncologists
at the University of Colorado.
He took great pride in always providing care for his patients. He knew that he could not
always cure them but he could always comfort them. He was always enthusiastic about seeing
a patient no matter how complicated or how dire their circumstances, and his way of treating
patients led me to want to become a medical oncologist, and I am proud to be one.
