Hi, my name is Cristy Nix with stoneblessings.com, and today we're talking about food and how
it relates directly to the seven chakras. So the seven energy centers of our bodies
are all associated by color. Well foods that directly relate to those chakras are also
associated by color. Now when we are drawn or attracted, like craving specific foods,
a lot of the times that is a clue that we need to look at that chakra to find out if
it's out of balance or out of kilter in some sort of fashion. So if you're craving red
meat, or red vegetables, then you need to really be looking at your root chakra to see
what's out of kilter. Now with the root chakra, protein is key, also any red fruits and vegetables
are key to that chakra, keeping it in balance and healthy. Orange chakra, or the second
chakra, the naval chakra is very much about orange foods, like oranges and even cantaloupes.
The third chakra which is yellow is very much about yellow foods, starches, including like
bananas and pastas. The heart chakra which is pink and green, especially green leafy
vegetables. The throat chakra being aqua and blue, is far more about purple and blue vegetables,
kind of like eggplant and things like that. And then brown chakra which is your sixth
chakra is very much about purple and blue fruits and vegetables like purple grapes and
things like that. Then you have your seventh chakra which is very much about things that
are more white and like lighter yellow, so oftentimes it also could be tied directly
to fasting, so violet vegetables and fruits will also help clear out and balance that
one as well. But keeping those colors and their associations with the seven chakras,
knowing and being aware that if you are being very excessive about all you want to eat are
oranges, then you need to be able to look back and think and clear out that second chakra
because your body is telling you exactly what it needs.
