Hello. I’m Peter and today I’m interviewing Wanchai Kanchanapimai, or Kevin.
Can you tell us what sport you play?
I do Mr. Fitness, which is one of the categories of bodybuilding.
How are Mr. Fitness and bodybuilding different?
Mr. Fitness is a routine and the muscles don’t have to be as big as in bodybuilding.
- How old were you when you began this? - I was 22 years old.
And you’ve practiced all along?
Yes, this sport enables you to keep your body in good shape.
Can you tell us about your history in the sport?
Before starting this...
I was on the National Gymnastics team but while practicing my back was injured.
I stopped for a while but was invited by Sitthi Charoenrith and Apiporn Chomsomboon...
to practice weight training as physical therapy for my back.
Then 7 months later I had the opportunity to compete in the Thai Nationals...
and came in first.
That’s incredible. So you still actively compete right?
I get the opportunity from the TBPA president to compete every year.
Do you have any competitions coming up soon?
Yes, there is the World Championships in December that Thailand is hosting.
Can you tell us what a sample week of your workouts looks like?
I practice 6 days per week.
I weight train in the morning and then go to work.
After work I’ll practice my routine which is part of competing in Mr. Fitness.
Eating must be important. Do you have any particular diet that you must follow?
Yes, eating is very important.
The muscles are completely dependent on how we eat.
Aside from the foods you eat each day you must supplement as well?
Yes, of course!
Supplementation is very important to me because I hardly have enough time.
Have you been using Musashi supplements for a long time?
I began using Musashi supplements in 2009...
and have received good support from them all along.
And what products do you take?
I use BCAA’s, Whey Protein, L-Carnitine and ZMA capsules.
Which protein do you prefer?
Right now near competition I prefer Isolate.
Is that because Isolate has the fewest carbohydrates?
Yes, right now I must control my carbohydrate intake.
That was rather loud -- when you train is it loud like this?
Yeah it’s quite similar to being in the gym when people train hard it gets rather noisy.
Let me ask you what is your favorite Musashi product?
My favorite is the protein bar.
How do the protein bars and other products help you?
When I wake up I’ll have Whey Protein on an empty stomach.
About 30 minutes later I’ll have a meal.
A half hour before working out I’ll have L-Carnitine, BCAAs.
Then let me ask you from your experience with Musashi...
Is there anything you’d like to tell people who may never have tried supplementing before?
What benefits one gets and why they should be interested?
Since being supported by Musashi I’ve noticed my muscles being fuller.
And when losing weight I use L-Carnitine which helps me drop weight much easier.
I thank you for you giving us your time for the interview.
- And wish you best in early December! - Thank you.
