Hi. I'm Judy Carrier with Jewels by Parklane. And I have a question for you. They've done
studies that show, men think women who wear a drop earring are sexier than women who don't.
What do you think? I'm been in the jewelry business for over thirty years and I'm going
to talk to you about how to be successful in selling retail jewelry. The first thing
you do is your research. Find out what's hot in your area and what's not. Do comparable
pricing. Find out what the median is. And then get out of the house. Go meet people,
wear your jewelry, show your product. Drop in stores; any place. Where ever you go, hand
someone a card or maybe just a brochure showing your jewelry. And then go home. Once your
home, do a follow up call within 24 hours. Make sure, of course, you've gotten their
business card, their phone number, that sort of thing. But basically get out and meet people
and then follow through with ten calls per day. That way you're guaranteed success selling
retail jewelry. I'm Judy Carrier with Jewels by Park Lane.
