elevations could see 50 mph wind gusts!
There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms
late tonight and early Friday morning. Damaging winds in excess of 60 mph are likely with
an isolated chance of tornadoes. Power outages, trees down, and minor roof damage will be
possible as the storms rumble through.
Storms will move into the Plateau close to midnight. The line of storms will quickly
move east through the early morning hours. Make sure your weather radios have good batteries
tonight! You'll be glad you did if your power goes out.
Rainfall amounts from the thunderstorms will range from one half inch to as much as 2 inches
with locally higher amounts possible.
Submit your storm reports online. Be prepared. Expect power outages and lots of wind and
lightning with these storms.
