This video shows how to create a mail in database with ID Manager.
Please note that users that create mail in database requests in ID Manager don't need any special access to successfully create a
request.
To start, click on the "Create A Mail In Database" button.
Select the Profile To Use. This is a document that provides a number of default values for ID Manager.
Enter the name of the mail in database that will be created.
Enter the description for the mail in database,
press save and close and you're done.
The mail file path and internet address are automatically calculated using formulas in the profile document.
ID Manager will create up to five groups to support a mail in database.
The group name, description and internet address for each group is calculated using formulas in the profile document.
Each group can be optionally added to the ACL of the mail in database.
Normally, a scheduled agent in ID Manager would process this request after it has been saved and closed,
but for for this demo, I'm going to press the "Create Mail In Database Now" button.
Many of the buttons that are visible here would not be visible for a help desk user.
For example, the "approve", "deny" and "hold" buttons and the "create mail in database now" button would usually not be visible.
Whether a button is hidden or visible is controlled by the ID Manager administrator.
This request is complete. Let's take a look at a few things.

Here you can see the completion memo sent by ID Manager. This is a customizable memo that is sent after the mail in database has been
created.
