Hi everyone!
Welcome to Wendy's Lookbook!
Today, we're exploring San Diego
and celebrating the warm weather with a skirt pairing.
I actually have two different types of skirts with me.
One is a tulip skirt
and the other is a flare skirt.
And the flare skirt is more fun and flirty,
whereas the tulip skirt has more of an understated elegance.
But both are super versatile
and they're so much fun to play with.
I cannot wait to share the pairings with you, so
let's get started!
This is our casual flare skirt pairing
and we're combining basic elements
using a soft white tee... oh my gosh!
a soft white tee, to create a
fun easy look.
And we're adding spice to the outfit
by cinching our waistline with a statement belt
and stacked wrist wear.
This outfit is great for picnics,
shopping and bike rides.
We're dressing up our flare skirt
by changing our pumps
and adding a light jacket
that has a similar color to our stripe
to keep our color story consistent.
I actually love, love, love this jacket
but it has a naturally wider cut
so to give us a waistline, I'm actually going to add a belt
over the jacket.
And this helps cinch our waistline
giving us more of an hour glass figure
Do you like it?
This outfit is great for date night
or...
sightseeing.
Here is our casual tulip skirt pairing.
And... my favorite part... it has
pockets!
Two of the greatest things in life, brunch and pockets!
We are actually going to play with patterns a little bit later
but for this outfit we're keeping it really simple
and just highlighting our skirt
So I have a grey tee on top
and we're extending the color all the way down to our booties on the bottom.
You know, tulip skirts naturually exaggerate our hip
so important to keep our top more fitted
so we don't lose our frame.
This outfit is perfect for hanging out with friends so we don't lose our frame.
This outfit is perfect for hanging out with friends
and... shopping.
So the day's winding down and we've reached our last pairing.
We're playing with patterns.
We're mixing two different colors
with relatively similar prints
We're finishing off the look with turquiose details
on our clutch and also on our necklace.
Since our tulip skirt naturally highlights our hips
we don't want to lose our waistline so we're adding wide belt.
But this outfit is perfect for special occassions
or enjoying some liquid courage.
Thank you so much for being with me.
I hope you had fun!
