There's a massive amount of time and effort that goes into putting on an
event like a conference or a training day
so it makes sense to leverage it as much as possible. Keep watching
as I run through some other ways you can use video to make the most of your events
So the first step, is to make sure you actually record your event on video
That way, people who weren't able to be there can get the
same benefit the attendees did.
And often, people who've enjoyed attending an event will want to experience it again.
So not recording an event can be a real lost opportunity.
Now that you've decided to record the event you can use it in a range of
different ways.
you can package the video up as a product. If you're event featured
high-caliber speakers sharing cutting edge information,
the content can be sold on DVD or online. In fact
there's a lot of event videos that often generate more income
than the event itself. Even if the event is purely for internal communication at your company
by documenting it the video becomes important I P
that can be used for training purposes. Sometimes it might be appropriate to give a
video recording to speaker
to thank them for appearing at your event
and once they share the video with the followers,
it can help attract a whole new audience to you. You can also edit short extracts
from the content
and share them through social media and video hosting sites like YouTube.
Your audience is going to appreciate you sharing useful information
and you can use this to help drive traffic back to your website.
You might also choose to give away a larger section
or chapter the video as lead magnet.
Now, new prospects are happy to exchange their email address for high-quality content
And since you're filming the event, make sure that you ask the production company
to not only film the speakers but also the room,
the people, the catering and everything else that captures the flavor and energy
of the event.
You can then commission a two or three-minute video that captures the
highlights for the day
and you can use is to promote future events. Capturing short testimonials from attendees
becomes powerful marketing collateral. They'll be excited by what they've
learnt that day
and they'll be more than willing to share their positive experiences on video.
Because my son's playing as well so he got through the semi's
and that was really good too to have him here and be able to watch him play.
Anyway it makes it to exit for a fun day.
Often events, conferences and trade shows will gather together your best customers
so it's an ideal opportunity to ask him to appear on camera
and the final tip is make sure you get a high quality recording
of your events. Your audience will appreciate the effort that you went to,
it will be easier for them to consume and it will show you brand in its best light.
So are you planning to run an event? Then how can you leverage it by using
video to get more value from it.
