There are many possible symptoms related to colon cancer including bleeding, abdominal
pain, change in size of the stool, diarrhea, and constipation. These can be related to
early colon cancer. They can also be related to other causes that are benign or noncancerous.
One should say that, if these symptoms or these findings are new and if never had before
and they persist for any length of time, just not one or two days, it should be checked
out by your doctor. If you have these symptoms off and on for years, it is unlikely to be
anything significant and one should have to rush in to the doctor. But again if you have
these changes and they persist and they are new or they are intermittent, but they now
persist, you should have a checked out by the physician because it could be the start
of a colon cancer. It may not be related to colon cancer, but it is a must that you make
sure it is not related to colon cancer and a colonoscopy should be done as well as a
possible CAT scan.
