This is Miranda Thacker with your KYTC Minute.
Morgan County and the city of West Liberty were devastated in the great tornado outbreak
of March 2nd.
The road to recovery is going to be a long one as these images make clear.
But the recovery has begun, slowly but surely. Part of it is the restoration of government
services.
County Clerk Randy Williams is operating from a construction trailer. His many duties include
motor vehicle titling and registration.
Circuit Court Clerk Donna Pelfrey is working from Morehead State University’s Academic
Center in West Liberty. She is once again processing driver license applications.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is proud to have been among the agencies that worked
to restore both clerk operations.
