Many believers wrongly think that salvation is a commodity, something that they own, like
a ticket to heaven and they think that they cannot lose this ticket. There is no such
ticket. Salvation is believing in Jesus, as the Son of God, OBEYING HIS WORDS, accepting
Him as your Master and DOING WHAT HE COMMANDED US TO DO. Which is, to repent, turn away from
sin, from pleasing yourself and to live in utter obedience to Him, to His words, to be
baptized in water, to deny yourself , pick up your cross every day and follow Him; to
live to please Him, constantly seeking His approval until the very end of your life.
That is salvation. Without Jesus there is no salvation. You need
to be pleasing to Him for the rest of your life. It is not a possession, it's a relationship.
It's not about reading the Bible, going to church, it is about Jesus KNOWING you and
YOU knowing Jesus. Because He will say to many people in that day:”Go away I never
knew you!” They never got into that relationship of obedience to Jesus.
Salvation is not a possession. It is not something that you can HAVE or LOSE. Either you are
obedient and pleasing to Jesus until the very end of your life or you don't have salvation.
Salvation is KNOWING the Savior and Him KNOWING YOU, and YOU following Him until the very,
very end. May Jesus bless you.
