Click on 'Online Textbook' and this is what you will see.
I want to encourage you to be curious and click on the four links up here above.
The only one I really want to point out is this Tutor Center.
It is another place to get free math tutoring.
'Answers to Selected Exercises' as the title implies are answers to some of the problems in the textbook.
The 'Student Solutions Manaul' are the answers to all the odd-numbered problems in the book.
The 'Word Problem Workbook', again, I will let you be curious and click on it. Take a look at what is available there.
Here is the book. They have gone ahead and separated it chapter by chapter.
Click on 'Chapter 1'. You will always see this here.
It is a quick way to get to the online homework, online quizzes and to see your results.
Go ahead and click on one of these sections. You would of course, go in order.
Let me just click on one. They all look the same.
There is a video presentation.
Here where it says 'Multimedia Textbook Section', that is the actual book that you are looking at.
The 'Textbook Exercise Set' are the homework problems.
And this part is optional. You are welcome to click on it and take a look.
Let me show you the parts I am actually expecting you to click on.
The suggested thing to do is to look at the video for each of the sections,
then go ahead and read the book, do the online homework,
and lastly come back and do the book homework.
(talking from video)
Ok. So I am pausing that.
The video quality wasn't that great. You could only hear someone talking. You couldn't see them.
You will be able to see someone walking you through the material in this particular section.
Go ahead and click on the 'Multimedia Textbook Section'. Again, that is the actual book.
As you are seeing the video take notes. As you are reading this textbook take notes.
You can scroll. There are videos to watch.
When you are ready, you can go to the next page.
Here are the 'back' and 'forth' buttons up here.
Again, take notes as you are reading the textbook and watching the video.
The 'Textbook Exercise Set' takes you directly to the homework problems in the book.
There are some problems that have video that go along with them. You can go ahead and look at those.
Again, I am not going to look at the 'Tracked Tutorial Exercises'. That is an optional feature.
That is in a quick nutshell what the 'Online Textbook' is.
If there is anything that is optional, I am letting you know.
Just like I did here. Optional. Optional. Optional. Lots of info available.
And not everything is something that I expect you to click on or look at.
So that is the 'Online Textbook'.
