Valentines day is coming! Ah! What do we do? So stay tuned.
So, like I said, Valentines day is coming.
And for some of us, we're like "Yes! My favorite holiday, oh my god!"
And for some of us we're like "I'd rather die. I hate its guts and I wish it didn't exist"
So what do we do? And something that I learned, I wanna say it was my freshman year in college.
Was that you don't have to be in a relationship to enjoy Valentines day.
And my sorority (go Thetas!), we used to get together, us single girls.
And we would have girls night out, and we would go out and eat Thai food, and have a good time
and that was the first Valentines day where I was like, "Wow, it doesn't have to be about relationships. It
doesn't have to be about me dating somebody and me being in love, I love my friends.
I love my family."
And so for those of you who are worried that you don't have someone in your life that you care about,
you don't have someone that you're going to go on a date with and it's really bumming you out,
instead of sitting at home and letting those depressive thoughts, and the loneliness creep up on us and
kind of ruin our day, right?
Let's not let that happen. Make plans. This is my task for you.
Make plans. If you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend or somebody in your life who's just a friend of yours,
or family, make some plans with them, get together.
It doesn't have to be going out for dinner and spending a gazillion dollars,
because trust me, in LA it's ridiculous.
If Sean and I wanted to go out, it's like "That'll be $150"
when normally you go to that restaurant and it's like $50 for both of us to eat.
What? That doesn't make any sense.
But, you can have people over. Watch chick flicks.
If you're a guy, watch some action films or maybe you like chick flicks, watch some movies together with people
have game night. Get a bottle of wine and some friends together and just have a good time.
Treat it like any other night, like a Saturday night. We're just going to have a good time.
I just don't want any of you to think you have to be in a relationship to have a good time.
So get out and do things.
And what I really, really, really want you to do, let me know what your plans are.
Leave them in the comments.
And if any of you are looking for good ideas, read through those comments.
And be like "Hey I'm going to do that too, that sounds really nice" and then we'll give it a thumbs up, right?
But for those of us in relationships, something that I find to be the most beneficial during the Valentines day craze,
is instead of spending a lot and feeling like we have to do a lot for someone to show them that we love them,
what if it's something thoughtful? What if? Oh my gosh, we just write a letter about how much we care
about that person.
I personally enjoy sending out Valentines to people, to my friends and my family
like, I only send maybe ten out, or so, but it can really brighten their day, right?
Like we've talked about before in my Q&A videos, it can brighten their day and your day,
just making them. There's something so powerful about focusing on the positive and focusing on the
love that you have in the relationships that you have.
So for those of you who maybe don't have someone that lives nearby, sending out valentines can be a really
nice way to spread the love and to feel the love yourself.
So let's get out there, right? Let's do things that are thoughtful.
Let's love on one another.
Cause I think the root of what Valentines day is, that's really what it's about.
It's not about being in a relationship, it's not about going out and spending hundreds of dollars on some restaurant
or some jewelry or some balloons or flowers or chocolates or any of that other crap, I don't really think it's about that.
I think it's about enjoying our relationships.
So, right now, write down the people in your life that are important to you.
Let's think about those relationships.
And then let's think about how we can let them know that we care about them and love them.
And by spreading the love, it's just like our community, right?
We share with one another and we each feel better.
So don't forget to subscribe to my channel because I put out topic videos every Monday
and I don't want you to miss them.
And we are such a wonderful and growing community,
so let's work together. Let's share the love and spread the love together
as we work towards a healthy mind and a healthy body.
