But people really do enjoy giving and receiving help in a hiking situation. Good natured hikers
do anyway and sometimes they make mistakes though in that effort. For example sometimes
when you're, when somebody's coming downhill at you. Your instinct is to go. Oh, need some
help and when you put your hand up like that and they put their weight on it, it's really
not very stable and that's not a good weight bearing structure right there. If she loses
her balance all I'm going to do is watch her crash and hold her hand while she does it.
The better thing to do it's not near as impressive looking but it's to just say. Want my shoulder?
I sure do. You can put a lot of weight on that shoulder and it's not going anywhere.
