When storing cucumbers you want to place them on the top shelf of your refrigerator. Not
down at the bottom or in the crisper drawer. The reason for putting your cucumbers on the
top shelf is because it is the warmest part of your refrigerator. That will eliminate
the chance of ice crystals forming within the cucumber. Cucumbers have a lot of seeds
and moisture inside and when ice crystals form and then dissolve again the cucumber
becomes soggy. It also becomes bitter, limp, and flavorless. So keep them at the top of
the refrigerator for the best flavor and the best vitamins which are in the dark green
skin and enjoy your cucumbers.
