How do you see if your money is real or fake?
Eh, the watermark?
The silver 50, with many complicated reflections ...
This one should change color.
It is difficult, very difficult.
During Christmass holidays, people are spending more money.
Most people, however, do not check the authenticity of all these notes.
To help these people, the Dutch Central Bank has issued a new Smartphone App.
The Central bank of the Netherlands is introducing this App,
because people are using their smartphone, to search for information, more and more.
So the Dutch Central Bank wants to offer information through this channel,
on the use of security features of banknotes.
All banknotes contain security features.
The new app reacts just like a normal banknote.
By looking at the app, and by tilting and feeling it,
the use of the 4 most important security features is explained.
In this way, people can learn to check their money in a fast and easy way.
Eh, Tilt the note, ... do you see the rainbow effects?
Change the building ... into a number
Well, then this one should be real.
How do you like this app?
I quite like it.
Oh, look, nice... This is good fun, O.K.
The Euro App also tells you what to do,
when you think you have found a counterfeit note.
Do you see a lot of counterfeit notes?
Yes, sometimes.
And what do you do, in such a case?
Nothing, hand it back.
Well, report it to the police.
