What are you making? Senagapappu Neelatullu
Ingredients required to make Senagapappu Neelatullu
Bengal Gram, Rice Flour, Cashews, Cardamom, Raisins, Ghee
Take a pan and heat some water
Add 2 cups of crushed jaggery
Heat the water til the jaggery dissolves and a syrup is formed
Take 1 cup of rice flour
Add a little water and make a dough
Roll small pencil shaped strings of dough
Place the pencil dough pieces in an Idli stand and steam them (You can use any other steaming vessel)
Steam them for 10 mins
Soak the bengal gram in water for about hour and then grind it into a paste
If the paste is too dry add some water to it
Heat the jaggery syrup again and add the bengal gram paste
Add the steamed dough strings into the pan
Take another pan and heat 2 tbsp of ghee
Fry some cashews and raisins and keep them aside
Grind some cashews with water to make a paste
Add 1/2 cup of cashew nut paste into the pan
Add some cardamom powder
Take the dish into a serving bowl
Add the fried cashews & raisins on the dish
Garnish with some cherries
