This is a Batobus, a kind of floating bus that serves multiple stops along the Seine.
This is an excursion boat. Looks a bit like a converted freighter to me.
This is a dinner cruise boat.
The activity you see in the background is Paris Plages 2011.
Vedettes du Pont Neuf is probably in third place among excursion boat companies.
Their decks are decorated like outdoor gardens, which is pretty cool.
Another Batobus. They pass regularly as they make their rounds.
You can see their stops marked in blue along the sides of the boats.
I think this is a boat you can rent for special events. Looks empty right now.
This is a boat from the Bateaux Parisiens, one of the two leading companies.
They depart from the base of the Eiffel Tower, and from Notre-Dame.
Looks like they're doing pretty well today (July 30).
They have a mixture of recorded and live commentary on the boats.
Nope, this isn't the same boat as before … check the name.
They don't look nearly as busy as the Bateaux Parisiens.
This is one of the fancy Bateaux Parisiens dinner cruises.
On dinner cruises, you pay mostly for the view, not for the food.
And this is the other big boat company, the famous Bateaux Mouches.
I prefer the Bateaux Mouches on nice days because of their large open decks.
And the Bateaux Parisiens' covered boats are nicer on rainy days.
This is a very fancy dinner boat operated by a company that specializes in that.
I think the kitchen is in the enclosed aft area of the boat.
Thank you for watching my video.
