Two weeks after North Korea released a video depicting an American city burning after a
missile attack; Pyongyang has posted a new video on YouTube this time showing President
Barack Obama and U.S. soldiers engulfed in flames.
Kim Ji-yeon reports. This one-minute, 30-second video, titled "All Because of the United States,"
was posted on YouTube on Tuesday by North Korea.
South Korean media outlets speculate that the video was uploaded by Uriminzokkiri, a
network that distributes news and propaganda by the North's state-run media.
The video is set to the soundtrack of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, an action role-playing
video game, and the caption reads, "We, North Korea conducted the nuclear test to protect
our sovereignty against the acts of American imperialist gangsters who run by the law of
the jungle and have no respect, justice nor equality."
The video adds that the North became one of the most heavily militarized countries in
the world because of the U.S. and the punitive sanctions against North Korea.
The video ends with a warning to the U.S., saying "make your move, the world is watching
but the clock is ticking."
