When trout and other fish swim upstream, a dam in the river prevents them from swimming further upstream.
A fish pass is a structure that allows fish to swim up and down along the river.
This is the Tama River.
Fish swim up along this zigzag slope stream.
Then, they go through the tunnel.
Finally, they can go out on the upper level.
These spiral stairs seem to lead to the ground nadir.
Well, let's go.
I go down spirally and spirally, and feel dizzy fianlly!
Oops! I lost my footing!!!
Ah!
Am I all right?
Exploring the inside of the fish pass is fraught with danger!
I came through inside the fish pass.
It was very cool inside and this is a recommended place in a hot summer season.
These stairs are the last ascent to the exit of the fish pass.
The dammed lake is seen when you get out.
It was pleasantly cool inside, but the last steep stairs made sweated me terribly!
