Hi my name is Natalja from the Red Brick Cafe, and on behalf of Expertvillage.com we're going
to learn how to make espresso blended drinks with care and excellence. So let's begin with
the basics. When it comes to the perfect espresso, you have to make sure that it doesn't pull
through too fast or too slow. A good espresso should only 25 to 30 seconds to pull through,
and it should start, optimally, from three to five seconds after you push the button.
Let's place it in the grill pad, and I'm going to pour it directly into the espresso cups
to conserve all the cream. As you can see, the pour doesn't go through right away. It's
a part of a great espresso. Also the pour should look like drizzly honey, and also you
can see if it's a good espresso by the color of the cream. It should be a reddish brown.
Now it's very important that you serve your espresso within two minutes after you pulled
it through. That's because it tends to cool very quickly and actually go bitter. So there
you go. There you have the perfect espresso.
