Stretching is about to begin. Use the space that you have. We are going to start out slow. We are going to roll our heads to the side and back and to the other side and back and so remember that you are going to want to stretch 5 minutes for every hour. So how many minutes for every hour? 5 Alright! And point and flex and then make friends with your other neighbor. And point your toe and how many minutes do you stretch for every hour that you walk 5. OK and lets do side to side. Its truly an honor to be with you today and this weekend with those beautiful faces of yours and those colorful outfits I want to officially welcome you to the breast cancer 3-day. The power to beat breast cancer forever lies within your reach. This is what the end of breast cancer looks like. You trained and never complained. OK alright not that we heard you fundraised and were never phased like you were born for the job because the 1 in 8 women who will develop breast cancer that’s one too many. All the promises all the laughter all the good times and we use the circle as to connect us with each other. The women who was going to walk with her mom but will now walk for her instead. The woman who is alive today because of an early diagnosis that this walk made possible. The man that will tell you in the next three days just how beautiful his wife was and how this walk is his way of fulfilling a promise to her. Let me ask you something. Who is the hero of your story? Can we do something this morning? Instead of honoring our hero’s with a moment of silence. Can we honor them by saying their name aloud and inscribing their spirit on this amazing day. Let’s do that. The truth is you are all heros. You’re heros for being here. We now part our circle and we ask each survivor to take a flag from its place on a stage. Belief in a world without breast cancer, let that be ours your spirit of healing and finally your love. The love that must bind and carry us through the struggle. In all, 34 flags wave above the breast cancer 3-day. And they will wave above the 3-day for the entire journey thanks to you. Carry one if you want for a block or a mile and pass it one when you are ready. Go ahead, give someone courage or strength if you need it or hand it to your new best friend.
