Gourmet Quesillos Mi Finca was founded around the idea of a new
and modern take on quesillos, a traditional Nicaraguan dish.
Fernando Roa ventured into the business to innovate the way quesillos are sold
and did so with the help of TechnoServe, an international economic development organization.
They consulted with us in order to help us become the business that we are today.
In 2007, Fernando won Idea Tu Empresa, a TechnoServe business plan competition.
He received advice and seed capital to help give his business the boost that it needed.
TechnoServe helped us break through initially and attract customers.
We are working together now to improve production and refine the business plan.
We’ll be able to use this plan to carry out our vision and solve
the problems that confront all businesses.

Quesillos Gourmet Mi Finca. Many note that we are a growing company, but we are solid because of the
business plan that we formulated with TechnoServe. We are now well positioned in the market.
Today, the results speak for themselves: Quesillos Gourmet Mi Finca has quintupled sales in four years.
Four years ago we started with only eight people. Now we are 24.
