Hey Guys today i am going to be showing you
how to fix "Sims 3 Launcher stopped working" problem.
Let me start off and say, that these solutions
may not work for everyone.
But it may work for some of you.
The first solution would be to...
Uninstall and maybe reinstall the game.
This solution did not work for me. The problem still persisted.
Another solution would be...
To restart the computer. That didnt work for me either.
Another solution would be...
Go to "Start" > Computer.
OS.
Program Files.
Since i downloaded my Sims 3 Game off of the internet. (via Origin.)
My Sims 3 game is going to be in "Origin Games" folder.
Go to "The sims 3" folder.
And go to the "Games" >"Bin"
And you're going to scroll all the way down.
If you didn't digitally download it...
Yours might be "OS" > "Program Files." > "Electronic Arts."
Double Click that. It will take you to "The sims 3" Folder.
"The Sims 3" > "Games" > "Bin".
Basically once you do that, you'll scroll down.
And find "TS3.exe." and "TS3W.exe"
Right click either one.
And go down to "Send to.." >"Desktop."
This creates a short cut.
You are able to click one of these. And what either one will do is..
It will straight bypass the launcher. And send you straight into the game.
That solution didnt work for me either. But it may work for some of you!
Another solution would be if you have an expansion pack installed.
Go to your expansion pack. Right click it. And go to "Open file location."
What this will do is, this will basically pull up a folder that looks like the core game files.
But its the expansion pack's files instead.
Don't click "Sims3EP03.iso."
Click on "TS3EP03.exe" or Whatever your expansion pack number is.
In my case, mine is "TS3EP03.exe" Yours might be "TS3EP02".
It really depends on what current expansion pack you have installed.
Right click your expansion pack. Go to "send to." > Desktop. Creating another shortcut.
Next solution would be to...
Upgrade the patch.
I went to "StrategyInformer.com." to upgrade the patch.
Its a very easy download.
All you have to do is click the "Download it" button.
Once your done downloading the patch, you'll get a file that looks like this.
Just double click it. It will update your patch itsself.
The Final solution that worked for me is...
I had to go and download "Tweaking.com Windows Repair. (all in one.)"
What this does is it repairs any defective windows files.
and fixes any problem i have with my computer.
In my case, It wasn't the sims 3 that was messing up, it was my computer's files.
So to check if thats happening to you...
Go to "Start" > "Control panel."
Go to " System and Security." and go to "Windows update."
If your computer is messing up, you'll see a red "X" and something that will say Windows update is not working.
That is an indicator that some files are not working.
So basically what i did was, i installed "Windows all in one repair."
And this will come up when you double click it.
All you have to do is skip to step 4. I do recommend to getting "Malwarebytes" if you don't already have it.
It is absolutely manadatory that you back up your files.
So please back up your files or create a restore point for your pc.
After your done backing up your files, you will be able to click "Next"
And click start. Since i already did this, i dont need to do it again.
Once this box comes up go to "Select all" even if your're having just one problem.
Then go to "Start."
In my case, i had 32 Jobs that needed to be done.
It may fix some problems not all. It will take a bit longer to load when your pc restarts. No worries.
Luckily it fixed all my problems! :D
Once its done fixing, your computer will restart.
Once your computer restarts and everything, go back to "Windows update."
The red "X" will still be there, but you will be able to check for updates. just click "Check for updates."
And once its done checking for updates, and everything is installed, Go and open The sims 3 Launcher.
Your computer will restart alot while its updating.
My sims 3 launcher is already open.
Once your sims 3 launcher is open, you will have to update your game.
These are my solutions to the "Sims3Launcher has stopped working."
Like i said, some of these solutions may work for some of you not everyone.
I hope this video helps. Thanks for watching. :)
