I’m Elias Vastis from Toronto, Ontario.
I’m the owner and operator of Hula Girl Espresso...
and Hula Girl Espresso Truck.
Hula Girl was established in 2010.
It was an inspiration from a trip that I took to Hawaii.
I wanted to bring that experience of Hawaiian coffee back to Toronto.
What I did was I took some Hawaiian varieties...
mixed them into our signature blends...
and created these exclusive blends that are offered out of our shop.
The first time I experienced Square, I was traveling in Miami...
and I went to a local coffee shop.
When I paid for my coffee, I was able to use Square...
and I was fascinated by the overall experience.
When I got back to Toronto, I dug in a little bit more.
Square had just expanded into Canada.
I reached out, signed up for an account and got my first card reader.
The sign-up process was quick and easy, and I was up and running within minutes.
What was appealing to me about using Square...
was the fact that there was no contract and that there’s no monthly fees...
which makes it really easy for small entrepreneurs...
to start accepting credit cards.
Square’s analytics really helped empower me to increase sales on our slowest day.
So having the power to go through the data...
and analyze when our sales and transactions are taking place...
really empowered us to make some really great decisions...
about how we wanted to drive our business forward.
Square empowers entrepreneurs...
by making it easier for them to accept payments.
It’s gonna really change how small businesses do business.
