Today on the show we will be making vegan white sausage gravy, perfect for any hearty vegan breakfast. Here we go.
Vegan white sausage gravy
So to start out recipe today, we are going to heat up canola oil over medium-high heat.
Then we are going to add in Gimme Lean Ground Sausage style veggie protein
Once we have sauteed our vegan sausage, we are going to move that to one side of the pan and sautee our onions.
our next step is to season our sausage, here I have salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning
Poultry seasoning really taste like roasted chicken, just a mixture of herbs and spices and rosemary and things like that.
And thats is what they put on roasted chicken, and gravy and sauces.
And then we are going to add in our flour, just sprinkle it all over the sausage until it absorbs all the oil
Give it a good mix and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
And last we have our most important part of the gravy making process, we are going to add in our almond milk
And we are just going to add in a little at a time and you want to make sure that the almond milk is really cold.
Not frozen, but right out of the refrigerator. And that is whats going to keep your flour from clumping.
I have had flour in my gravy to clump before and it still taste fine, but everybody is going to look like whats wrong with it
You want to add the almond milk a little at a time until it reaches the consistency you like
And thats it, you can serve your vegan gravy over vegan buttermilk biscuits
