The senior art show is a time when everyone can celebrate
how much work they've put in in that year.
I've always sort of thought of it as this big culmination of your four years
as an art major and your undergraduate studies, but at the same time I feel like
it's really, for me anyway, more of a way to bridge my academic, artistic experience
with more of an independent professional artistic practice.
My project is a product of a lot of work I've been doing for the past year or so
and it has been using a lot of different materials and a lot of different
strategies for designing and organizing your life, so I started working with that
to create this story or idea about the world that you could have these objects in your life and
they would make your life better in some way.
I decided a good way to demonstrate it for the thesis show would be making a video
it's just an actress goes through all these objects and talks about how important they are
to her everyday.
For my senior project, I'm a painting major, and I'm working with text and visual imagery
and I'm exploring the limitations of language and human communications and interactions.
We've all been working so hard and putting in so many hours
and I think that it's going to lead to some really inspiring and amazing results.
