Now that you know how to select a single word,
you have most of the steps you’ll need to select all text on the screen.
As a quick review of the basic steps, tap and hold on a word.
The round magnifier will appear and the word will appear
highlighted in blue.
Tap Select All to select all text on the screen, once you lift your finger.
The text appears highlighted in blue.
You can scroll up or down
to see the blue pins at the beginning and end of the selection.
The blue highlight and blue pins are a great
visual cue as to what is currently selected.
You may also use a shortcut to select all text within a paragraph.
Quickly tap three times on any word within the text to be selected.
This shortcut will work in
some, but not all apps. Now it’s your turn to try
the Select All feature. Try selecting text in different apps and don’t
forget to try the shortcut. Remember, the shortcut might not work in every
app, but it is a great option when it does work.
