Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are
going to make a very fun Halloween Wreath out of our pretzel ring. The first thing you
are going to do is take your basic pretzel ring and before you varnish it or shellack
it, you are going to take Halloween candy, you can take corn candy and you can also take
the little pumpkins and place them around on your ring. It is okay to use your glue
gun on these because it will stick. Just place them around the ring in a random order however
you would choose. Once you have them on your ring and it is thick with candy as you would
like, you have a couple of options. Usually I take ribbon and I weave it through and you
can do that with your ring. You want to put it through, over, under, over, under, all
the way around until you have your ribbon through so you would have your corn candy
and your ribbon. You can use orange or black ribbon. What I did though was to take some
raffia, take strings of it and instead of weaving it through in between the places where
there were candy corn, I simply took the glue gun, put a squirt of glue in there, pressed
the raffia in until it was glued, looped it over and glued it again and so I have loops
of raffia rather than candy corn. Once you have your ribbon or your raffia in place and
you have it all together you know how glue guns always leave strings, this time I left
the strings so it looked like a spider web. Then I just took the little spiders that you
can buy by the package, cut the ring off, the back, used my glue gun and placed it throughout
the wreath. The last thing I did was to make a ribbon; I mean a bow out of ribbon, in case
you have never made one before, it is relatively simple. Take it, make a loop, twist it, make
a loop, twist it, cut it, tie it and glue it. Once you have put that on there, I put
a little spider on top of mine and there you have a Halloween wreath. You can also add
raffia to the bottom for a little bit of stringy and any kind of Halloween decorations will
do. Enjoy, have fun and happy Halloween.
