Millions live out their entire lives not
understanding why they are placed on this earth, and
not knowing whether or not there was some far greater
purpose for their existence. Today on Discover the Truth
we ask the personal question, Why are YOU here?
Is there a purpose for YOUR life? Stay tuned as we let
the Bible provide the amazing answers
From the time of the Messiah to our modern technological
age much Bible truth has been lost. With the melding
of foreign philosophies and teachings unknown to the
believers of the first century the early church
began a transformation away from its Hebrew origins.
The question we need to ask ourselves is, just how far
did it go? Join us for the next half
hour as we take you on an incredible journey of
Biblical understanding as we uncover the foundation of
the Christian faith. Are you ready to Discover
The Truth? This Earth does not exist by
accident. It was put here by the Creator and populated
with mankind for a special purpose. Although many have
tried, they cannot deny that a unique spiritual essence
has been placed in human beings. It is a fact that
has been demonstrated time and time again, a dimension
which does not exist in the animal kingdom. Man has a
natural need to seek something greater than
himself. Every culture finds something to worship to
fulfill that spiritual need. Recent surveys have shown
that 85% of the population believes in a supernatural
being who runs this universe.
Yet most do not realize the significance of this
spiritual aspect of their nature. They have no idea
that our Creator in heaven, whose revealed, personal
Name is Yahweh, which in the Hebrew means to exist, has a
plan and purpose for this Earth and particularly for
those who seek Him today. We are told in Genesis 1:27
that mankind is made in the very image of Yahweh. The
human mind is made with a spiritual quality, a special
essence that can come only from the Creator. We share
many of our Creators attributes and emotions,
like ambition and love, satisfaction and
disappointment. The Book of Job in chapter 32:8 says
there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the
Almighty gives us understanding.
Our natural desire to create is also reflective of the
Creator of the universe. His Son Yahshua, who came to
this Earth to teach the will and way of His Father and to
sacrifice Himself for our sins, said His Father worked
and He worked as well. Everything we see in this
universe everything around us has purpose. The great
and awesome universe was designed to fulfill a divine
plan that was set into motion at creation.
Now if you were to design your own home you'd have a
purpose and goal in mind. You'd follow a blueprint, a
plan before you begin constructing your home. When
Detroit makes a car it is engineered to be driven, not
to sit in a driveway and just rust away to nothing.
Everything about that vehicle is made with
transportation in mind. From the engine to the
transmission to the wheels and brakes.
When He calls a people for Himself, Almighty Yahweh has
a goal in mind, a reason for His Creation. He did not
stop with the physical world we see around us. He is
active, and is not passive. Yahshua the Messiah said His
Father works and He works. His chosen people will be
active as well, here and in the coming Kingdom.
When we look out into the vastness of the universe,
and see breathtaking design, as well as on this jewel we
call Earth, we see purpose. He doesnt create anything
without design and purpose. Neither is there any end to
His Kingdom, according to what the angel told Mary in
Luke 1:33. Yahweh is starting with a select few
now to have a part in the rulership of His Kingdom,
with even greater plans to expand His Kingdom in the
future, and ultimately to fill the universe.
To that end he is looking for a special, called-out
people. He is not trying to save all of humanity now,
but only a choice few, which the Bible calls first
fruits. A larger harvest of many more will come a
thousand years later. This fact is beautifully
revealed in the seven annual Feast days of the Bible,
which teach key spiritual truths. They revolve around
the harvest times and are depicted by a first harvest
of the early ripe grain and then a general harvesting of
all the rest. His spiritual days given to ancient Israel
and kept right through the New Testament by Yahshua the
Messiah and His followers, have a prophetic side that
provides insight into more of the divine plan for this
Earth. If you seek to truly
understand the Bible you need to know and keep the
key to the Scriptures found in the seven annual
observances. These days given to Israel and, as we
said, observed by the Messiah and His followers,
lay out the plan of salvation and what we can
expect for the future, from Passover to Pentecost,
Atonement to the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last
Great Day. You may have already been exposed to the
Feast called Pentecost. It was when the Holy Spirit was
given in Acts 2, which Yahshua told His disciples
to observe after His death and resurrection. And there
are six others that hold special significance in
Yahwehs plan. You may never have realized
that the plan of salvation is bound up in these annual
observances. When I was growing up in a church we
simply ignored these Scriptural holidays. But
there they were the whole time in the pages of the
Bible, from Exodus through Revelation. And they are in
your Bible as well. The destiny of the followers
of Yahshua the Messiah is not to lounge around on
clouds plucking harps for the rest of eternity. Exodus
19:6 says of Israel, which represents His chosen
people: You shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and
a holy nation. His faithful will be a royal priesthood
in that kingdom. Its a New Testament promise as well,
confirmed in 1Peter 2:9, But you [are] a chosen
generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation,
a peculiar people; that you should shew forth the
praises of him who has called you out of darkness
into his marvelous light. Those individuals who are
chosen will be involved in establishing a kingdom
without end under the direction of the Messiah
Yahshua, with King David ruling under Him, according
to the prophet Ezekiel. The prophet writes, And David
my servant shall be king over them, and they shall
all have one shepherd; and they shall also walk in my
judgments and observe my statutes and do them 37:24.
Biblical law will be the constitution of the
soon-coming Kingdom. Everyone in that kingdom
will abide by that law. The elect will teach the
laws and precepts of the Creator, and administer his
statutes in His government here on this Earth.
This leads to the question, if His laws were established
at the beginning of the Bible, and the same will be
taught and enforced in the future Kingdom on Earth, are
those laws not important today?
Well stay tuned we'll have more about this subject when
we come right back. Many have misconceptions
about who the Messiah really was and what He taught. From
His physical appearance to the name He was known and
called by, popular beliefs about the greatest figure in
human history hold many fabrications and
inaccuracies. Was He born on December 25th, the same day
revered by sun worshipers for centuries before His
birth? What was the method of His death? Did he do away
with biblical law? Did He have brothers and sisters?
Why did He come to Earth? Find out why the most
revered figure in history has so many misconceptions
surrounding Him. Peel away centuries of ancient Greek
and Roman influence and look at the Messiah from the
proper perspective of his Hebraic upbringing and

The Apostle James wrote, So speak, and so do, as they
that shall be judged by the law of liberty. Now if all
are going to be judge by His laws, then clearly they are
in effect right now. John wrote the following by
inspiration of Yahshua the Messiah: "Blessed are they
that do His commandments, that they may have right to
the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into
the city" Revelation 22:14. Lest anyone believes that
Biblical law has been abrogated, the prophet
Isaiah wrote of the future kingdom in chapter 2:3, And
many people shall go and say, Come and let us go up
to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the Elohim
of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will
walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the
law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem. This is the
millennial Kingdom, when the laws of the Scriptures will
rule this Earth for a thousand years. The world
will finally know what it is like to live under the
righteous government and laws of the Father in
heaven. Crime will be a thing of the past,
rebellion, we see everywhere, will stop,
suffering will end, joy will reign. No wonder it's called
a law of liberty, freedom from sin. King Hezekiah
wrote, How love I thy law, in Psalm 119.
Most individuals today go passively through life like
fish in a stream waiting for whatever floats their way,
doing almost nothing to shape their future or
prepare for it. They are content to just let life
happen and they have no clue what their life is really
for. They lack spiritual direction, understanding,
motivation, and purpose. And that's simply because they
were never told that there is a reason mankind has been
put on this planet. In Yahwehs eyes there are
basically two types of individuals: the
participants and the opposition. The impassioned
believers and those who oppose Him and what He
stands for. But what about the one's who
fall between these two extremes, including the
Bible professing but passive spectator, as well as the
spiritually undecided individual? And what about
the dabblers, who even though they acknowledge a
faith, never get too serious about their spiritual life,
living pretty much as they please according to their
own standards and values? The Bible calls all such
individuals lukewarm, and makes it clear that they
will miss out on that all-important first
resurrection. John sums it up in
Revelation 3:15: I know your works, that you art
neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot.
So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold
nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth.
Politicians talk about the undecideds. There is no room
for indecision when Yahweh calls His people, His elect.
The apostle Peter wrote, Wherefore the rather,
brethren, give diligence to make your calling and
election sure: for if you do these things, you shall
never fall". If you feel a spiritual leading, then act
on it. Dont ignore it. He will not accept lukewarm
attitudes. He will not accept a halfhearted,
uncommitted stance because that attitude just leads to
compromise. Self-worship means going just far enough
to get by, to keep our Father in heaven happy while
continuing to pursue personal ambitions. When you
become one of His, you do it His way or not at all. That
point is driven home throughout the Scriptures.
Example after example is provided in the Bible of
those who were committed and those who were half-hearted
in their commitment. A recent study found that
the vast majority of Bible believing, Bible professing
people think it doesnt matter what your faith is
because salvation is secure for the masses regardless.
This diametrically opposes what the Word teaches.
In Matthew 7:14 Yahshua the Messiah said, Strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and
few there be that find it. Many think quite the
opposite, that the way of truth will have huge numbers
of followers. In fact, because the way to life
takes sacrifice, not many will be willing to go that
way, but they'll still think they will be granted
everlasting life anyway. The Mighty One of the Bible
and Creator of the universe is a Power so great that all
the billions of stars in all the billions of galaxies we
see every night obey His every command. He controls
stars so massive that much of our solar system would
fit inside just one of them. And yet He maintains and
controls all of it by the power of His Word!
Our Earth, our world is only a mosquitos kneecap in the
scheme of celestial space. And we humans are only a
molecule in the vastness of the universe. We of
ourselves are nothing. It is Yahweh who elevates His
chosen into rulership status in His coming Kingdom. The
called out are called to follow Him and learn of His
ways now in order to administer His truths and
statutes to others in the thousand-year reign of His
son. That entails a fundamental change of heart
and attitude in the individual.
Rebellion springs from ignorance. Hatred comes from
lack of understanding. 1Peter chapter 1 reads: As
obedient children, not fashioning yourselves
according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But
as he which has called you is holy, so be holy in all
manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye
holy; for I am holy. And if you call on the Father, who
without respect of persons judges according to every
man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in
fear. With Yahweh the Heavenly
Father its all or nothing. We either live our lives for
Him or we live for ourselves. There's just no
middle ground. He deserves our total respect and
commitment if we desire a future in His Kingdom.
We cannot put our lives into separate compartments, where
we act one way at worship, another way at home, a
different way at work and still another way at school
or social gatherings. The believer must reflect a
consistency and reverence for the Scriptural faith in
everything he or she does. And what is clear from the
scriptures is that there is no middle ground when it
comes to worshiping in Truth. It is all or nothing.
Well stay tuned, we'll have more for you when we come

Idolatry is worshiping in any fashion other than what
the Bible commands. The history of Bible-professing
religion is one compromise after another. The result is
something quite different from what is found in the
Scriptures themselves. One of the most notable
examples of idolatry in the Bible is when Israel made
the golden calf and worshiped it while Moses was
up on Sinai receiving the law, in Exodus 32. Here was
Yahweh teaching Moses His will for His people and they
were doing their own will in total rebellion.
After Aaron made the golden calf, Israelites didnt say,
Were now going out to worship the metal cow, as
if it were a separate mighty one. On the contrary. They
made an idol and they transferred their worship of
Yahweh to that idol. It was idolatry, not simply
because they had made a false image, but because
they themselves decided the means and method in which
they would worship, and not the way Yahweh instructed
them. They became the decision-makers. They
usurped His authority. Any time worship deviates from
the Word, it becomes idolatry.
Yahweh never said make an image to represent me. In
fact, the second commandment commands specifically
against that. But they did it anyway
because that was what the religion of Egypt had taught
them for four centuries. And they had to learn from that
error. We read in Exodus 32:4: Then they said,
These are (your elohims) your mighty ones, O Israel,
who brought you up out of Egypt. When Aaron saw this,
he built an altar in front of the calf and announced,
Tomorrow there will be a festival to Yahweh. So the
next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt
offerings and presented fellowship offerings.
Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to
indulge in revelry. They mixed true worship with
false. They did some of the offerings commanded in the
Scriptures, but at the same time they did them in honor
of a golden image. And then they added their own
debauchery to the mix, just as they had learned from the
heathens, and they neglected everything else.
Fashioning a golden idol to worship is no different from
making our own rules and standards of worship,
instead of learning and doing only what the Bible
commands. When you say no to
obedience, or when you look for loopholes or argue
against it, you are taking a chisel to a golden calf. You
are manufacturing your own worship not found in the
Scriptures. Youve made a choice. We cant expect
blessings, or the favor of Yahweh when we worship our
own way and call it His. Proverbs 14:12 says
alternative worship may seem great but it leads to death.
Lets look at one key element of True worship. The
Bible calls the Sabbath a sign of the elect of Yahweh.
When I explained the Sabbath to a traveling evangelist
for a denomination known for door-to-door proselytizing
he explained that he had the Sabbath covered because he
keeps every day holy. I knew that wasnt true. This mans
church didnt keep the Sabbath. So the Sabbath was
actually not on his list and he was being disingenuous to
me. Besides, the Fourth
Commandment doesnt say to keep every day holy. On the
contrary. The commandment says NOT to keep every day
holy, Trying to do so amounts to idolatry because
it is worship not sanctioned, commanded or
approved in the Word. The fourth Commandment
specifically says work six days and rest on the
seventh. Not rest seven days and never work at all.
The Hebrew root of the word Sabbath, Shabbat, means to
cease, desist from work. If I kept every day holy I
would starve. And I would also violate the fourth
Commandment. Yahshua told a parable about
five wise and five foolish bridesmaids in Matthew 25.
The bridesmaids job was to prepare the bride to meet
the groom. But because the groom didnt come when
expected, the five foolish bridesmaids got lax. They
didnt take inventory of their oil supplies for their
torches ran out. They didnt attend to business. They
slacked off in regard to their responsibilities. So
when the wedding banquet came, the door was locked.
They showed up late. They showed a complete lack of
respect for Him. They were negligent, now He says to
them, I dont know you. He will say the same to us
if we disregard His ways. And that was the whole point
of the parable. The preparation for the
wedding of the bride to the Messiah is taking place
right now. Is your lamp full? Are you faithfully
making preparation to meet the groom, your Savior? Will
you be the bride, or only a neglectful bridesmaid shut
out of the promises because you were not ready and
didnt care enough to get yourself ready?
The Adversary has enormous resources and will pull out
all the stops in an effort to try to make sure your
calling and election is NOT sure.
Most people behave in sinful ways because they dont know
the Father. Sin stems from ignorance as well as a lack
of righteous fear of Yahweh. People practice wickedness
because they lack reverence for Him and they love self
more. That goes for virtually everyone. If we
humans truly understood Yahweh, we would be fools to
defy Him through sin in any form.
Israel saw how foolish they had been once they were
chastised with Yahwehs wrath. And they got humble
rather quickly. But it didnt last because they
still loved themselves more. Children who have learned to
obey their parents have a healthy respect and love for
their parents whether in their presence or in their
absence, and those children know the consequences of
misbehavior. But those who break Yahwehs
laws dont understand Yahweh and lack any fear of Him and
the consequences. The popular message today is
that the road to salvation is broad and easy. He is
pleading with you to just come as you are. Nothing
required. No need to conform to anything, especially not
His will. Thats certainly not the message heard from
pulpits just 50 years ago. The message of the
Scriptures has been watered down. Diluted, emasculated
until there is nothing of substance remaining.
The Bible is all about changing from what we are to
something useful to Him. All 66 books emphasize the right
way and the wrong way of life. The Bible shows
examples when it was done right and what happens when
sin predominates. As a result of misteachings
most think that the consequences for sin will
never happen to them. Im sure hapless folks facing
down an F-5 tornado never in their wildest imaginations
thought such a thing could actually happen either to
them. Well unless we're obedient
to our heavenly Father, unless we're protected by
His spirit certain things could happen to us. We're
glad we're able to come into your home. We thank you for
