Hi and welcome back to Kat’s closet.
Now, while we wait for Autumn fashion to kick in I’m going to show you how some shoes and accessories can really pep up your wardrobe.
Everybody loves trainers for daytime. But we all that we actually look better in heels.
The brilliant thing about these, is the hidden wedge which is going to give you that gorgeous elongated leg but with that cool, day time vibe.
Pyjama style pants have actually been around for a while now and there a brilliant alternative to day time denim. I’m going to get the lovely Rebecca to show us how to wear them.
While she is doing that, I’m going to get a top to go with it.
This shows how a casual wedge trainer can really dress down what is actually a really sophisticated trouser. But I think what this needs is a jacket.
I have gone for a biker jacket because everybody should have a biker jacket, it’s a classic.
I’m going to finish off the outfit with some bracelets.
Friendship bracelets are all over the high street at the moment and their a brilliant way to add a little bit of bling with that casual vibe.
There you have a wonderful outfit for going to lunch with friends or out shopping on a Saturday. It’s not too dressy and it’s not too dress down, it’s just got some great attitude.
So I’ve talked about wedged trainers and bracelets. Next I’m going to talk about the belt of the season.
Designers went crazy for the bow belt, they put it on everything, from puffer jackets to pencil skirts.
Now I’m going to show you how to take a day time dress and smarten it up.
Intentionally, sweater dresses are pretty shapeless.
By taking the belt I’m going to create a little bit of shape. If you keep it tonal you still get that flattering extenuation of your waist
but you’re not breaking up your body so you get that long line that will be really slimming and that’s what we all want really.
You could recreate this look with any belt. But if you want to stay on trend for this season, then you should choose the bow belt.
We all have those basics in our wardrobe that we dress up with jewellery.
This season, why not try a statement collar instead?
By adding this really pretty bejewelled collar to this basic white blouse you lift it to a whole new night time dimension.
It just goes to show that you don’t have to go for the obvious necklace.
This is something different and very on trend for this season.
I have finished off this whole look with of course some dancing shoes.
I’ve kept them new to match the collar so you have a very, very simple head to toe look with a little bit of bling with an outfit that I think is perfect for Saturday night.
