Hello, my name is Jose Zuniga. I'm representing expertvillage.com, and I'm going to guide
you how to start your own outdoor herb garden. Well of course if you are lucky and you have
that spacious yard, that will be great. If you are limited because you are in an apartment,
your patio will be fine because... what can we do with that? That is when pots come in
real, real handy. So you can start for the patio, a big pot would be great. Get between,
I would say, 4-6 herbs. Depending on the size; just spread them around and you can create
your own small garden. Now if you get like a rosemary, they need to be planted individually;
you know those just take off. So for rosemary this would be great, and of course smaller
pots for individual planting of your herbs. Be creative, have them throughout your patio.
Study the herb. How much faster does it grow? How big does it get and then that way you
would be able to determine what kind of pot you are going to be able to utilize. You plant
them next to your flower bed, it is going to be okay. When you step out of your house,
man that fragrance is going to be out there. You are going to enjoy your herbs. Not only
that, you are going to be healthier, they are going to grow faster because they get
the sun throughout the day, versus being inside, you know indoor garden. So just enjoy it.
And this is how we grow a outdoor herb garden.
