This is a push block.
No, its not going to win any beauty awards, BUT!
What it could do, is save your fingers the next time you wanna go diggin around the cookie jar.
and...as we all know...
cookies are not just good...
but good for you.
First, the foot.
eight inches of two by three scrap.
Then its on to a scrap piece of two by six.
Marking two inches from the bottom.
An inch in from the adjoining side.
and forty five degrees from the top down to the two inch mark that I just made.
Then its over to the bandsaw.
Cut a notch a quarter inch deep in the foot.
Drill a couple of pilot holes in the base of the handle.
Stick the foot and the handles together.
Drive home the screws.
And their it is,
a finger saving, cookie grabbing, DIY push block.
Now, eventually the foot of this is going to get chewed up by going thru the table saw.
So when it does, I'll just remove the screws
replace the foot. Keep the handle.
