Hi, I am Madina Gagieva from Georgia.
For the first time in my journalistic career I am introducing to the audience not my respondent,
but myself. Nevertheless, lets begin.
I was born in 1982 in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. It's situated on the merge of Europe and Asia
and harmoniously combines the features of the East and West.
After school I entered department of Journalism at Georgian University.
that time I started to work in the newspaper.
After graduating from university I began to work at radio station.
And finally - in broadcasting company.
Why journalism? Because journalism for me its not just a profession. It's a way of life.
Journalism is the only profession, where today never looks like yesterday
and tomorrow will be totally different.
I am Ossetian who lives in Georgia. Of course, lots of things have changed for me
after the August war between Georgia and South Ossetia.
Moreover, those days changed my world outlook. Something like soulsearching happend.
I understood the main thing. Nothing is more important than our lives and the lives of our nearest and dearest.
It's already been eight years since I started working as a journalist.
And during all this time the main theme that I am covering is politics. Why politics?
Because I want the audience to know the truth about the situation in my country.
May be it sounds fondly, but I believe that in such way
I can make life in Georgia a little better.
I've known Madina for many years and I can describe her
her as a very intelligent, reliable, outgoing person.
But you know, she has changed a lot since starting working as a journalist.
She became more open, I would say hardworking. In fact she is a typical workhoholic.
She works 24 hours a day and she doesn't seem to complain because she adores her job.
That's all that I wanted to tell you about myself.
Don't switch over and I am glad to see you on the VJ movement site.
