*Imitating God of War them- Ahh, I already did that.
I'm not doing that again.
Okay, number two.
Picks up right where the first one left off. Kratos, the almighty god of war,
but not for long
Yes. Betrayed by the gods
he must get revenge.
And that's what this whole game is about.
Getting revenge on the gods
for turning against him.
The first thing I thought when this game started up was
something about the graphics
is not as appealing as the first game and I don't
know what it was. I could not figure out
what I didn't like about the graphics, but something doesn't look right. Although in this game the
cutscenes, the high-quality cutscenes
seemed to be a bit
better-looking. They seemed less pixely so that's,
that is a good thing.
Although
overall I did not like this game as much.
Um...it's hard to say why. It could be because it felt
like just more of the first game, but with different enemy designs. That's pretty
much all felt like. Now, while it could be that I think it was more...if you watched my last video you know that I said
that a lot of calls
that the director made to change
certain things...
I thought were great ideas, but
I saw a lot of those ideas that were taken out
thrown back into this game and I was like, "Well that's...I mean why?"
It was just, I don't know.
For example there were these skeleton warriors, I just...
now while I do like Jason and the Argonauts
I just felt like I was watching
something old
and cheesy it just...
it didn't
make a lot of sense as to why they would use enemies like that. They're not that big of a part, but still.
Um...speaking of not that big of a part: Perseus
made an appearance in this game and it was amazing how small of a part Perseus had. Escpecially since
Clash of the Titans just came out and Perseus is the main guy in that.
The hero
Um...it's just
he had such a small part in this one, it was just weird. You'd think Kratos,
a demigod meeting up with
a very well-known
demigod
would kind of be a bigger deal than it was, but
not really...no.
Kratosssss
Something that really didn't make sense to me about this game is that it supposedly came out
in 2007
and
I can't figure out why they didn't put it on the PS3. I mean I know even now the PS3's still
building its name in the gaming world, but
that was only three years ago they should've definitely put it on the PS3.
And the graphics would have been
way better if they had put it on the PS3. But they didn't, so that kind of sucks. I think
the story of this one was actually a little more interesting than the first one, but
the gameplay just kinda
threw that off.
The repetitiveness of it. There were a lot more puzzles in this game
which a lot of people liked about it, but
honestly, I kind of find puzzles annoying. I play for the story and the progression of everything
for the most part. So puzzles are just kinda
a hassle.
A puzzle here and there, that's fine. But
this is like
you leave one room
that was just a puzzle
and the next room's a puzzle. Every...
Almost every single thing in this game is a puzzle.
It's, it's un...
it's unreasonable, it's just weird
that there'd be so many puzzles. But it was interesting. I found it
really odd. Semi-spoiler alert
sort of, but not really
I found it interesting that this game ended in a cliffhanger.
I don't know if I've ever played a game that ended in a cliffhanger. I mean, it wasn't even like
"Oh, there's gonna be another game" kind of cliffhanger. It was like,
"Something big is about to happen.
Check out the third game in three years." So even though the second game wasn't as good, I kind of
imagine that the third one will be a bit better.
Just 'cause the graphics will be significantly improved and I imagine the gameplay will be
more in-depth, more interesting.
Oh, another thing I think I didn't like about this game was just, the settings. It was kinda like
alot of swampy kinda looking areas. It was just...
I don't like it when games take place in settings like that. Something about it
just bugs me. I don't know why.
Tell me if you agree with that. I wanna know if it's just me.
So I should be getting God of War 3 towards the end of this month. Hopefully I'll play it shortly
after that and then I'll talk about that. Although this is such a big series that
everybody's probably already played them, already knows everything about them. And if not, you're just like me
and probably just didn't have the time before. But I'd say even if you have
them on PS2, maybe you should get this just 'cause
the quality of the
actual gameplay is
you know...720p. PS2 couldn't do that.
And now I make a cheesy exit.
