>> It's a fun time of year. Skiing and sledding are popular activities, but make sure you
take precautions to keep you and your family safe.

>> If you're a skier, this is the time of year you wait for. But be careful, especially
with your children. Make sure they have the proper protective gear, like a helmet. It
could mean the difference between a spill and a trip to the hospital.
>> Head injuries account for about 20% of ski and snowboard injuries. In fact, traumatic
brain injury is the leading cause of death with ski and snowboard injuries. Wearing a
helmet protects you, up to 60% reduction in head injuries through our helmet. And remember,
helmets are both for the kids and adults, so have fun, but be safe out there.
>> Also, remember to dress your children in layers of clothing to keep them safe and warm.
