A great variation of the Nollie Varial flip is the Switch Varial Flip. It's exactly the
same trick only now you're rolling switch instead of rolling straight and popping off
the nose. So what you're going to do is, you're going to roll on the board. Switch, with your
foot in the switch Ollie position. With your front foot just about here. It's in charge
of the varial flip part. So you pop the tail, and you flip the board in the way that you
can see in front of you, backside, varial flip, and then land back on the board, continuing
in your switch stance, and rolling fakie, or switch. The Switch Varial Flip is going
to require you to have a little more control of getting the board over, since the momentum
is opposite of the direction that you're headed. So you're going to have, it's a little bit
harder but it's definitely rooted in the same motion as the Nollie Varial Flip. Because
remember with the Nollie Varial Flip, the momentum is headed towards the nose, so it
tends to flip over and go in that direction a little easier. So keep that in mind with
the Switch Varial Flip. So remember, foot on the back of the tail; and this foot is
in charge of the shove it, and the switch Ollie and then the front foot is in charge
of flipping the board and sending it slightly varial flip, and then land, and switch varial
flip.
