On behalf of expervillage.com this is Paul Louis and I’d like to welcome you to how
to create a 3D animated character in the program known as iClone, enjoy. The beauty of this
is that you can turn the angle and see it from a profile to see if Paul looks well,
we’ll do the same thing with the mouth you want to make sure that middle line of the
mouth is right in the middle line of the photograph, okay that’s about right. We could also click
up here to see the edit side view so if you wanted to do anything there, after we’ve
done all of this we’ll click on OK, it’s going to ask you do you want to keep this
space, you’ll click on OK and you’ll name it something we’ll name this “test”
now I already have a file called test so I do want to overwrite it and it’s now going
to import that image on this character right here in the window. Now I don’t like the
fact that part of his hair is overlapping this side of his face so I’m going to fix
that, I’m going to go up to tools, click on texture and we’re going to use this smudge
tool right here it looks like a little finger we’re going to click on it and we’re going
to start pulling his hair away from the rest of his face now you want to do this on the cheeks and
even on the chin, now he’s going to look rather strange you’re probably wondering
why I’m doing this, well there’s a method to this madness I’m going to show you in
a second.
