Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive in Mumbai today for their royal visit to India
KATE Middleton showed off her batting skills in Mumbai, as she played a friendly game with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also played with children from Mumbai slums at the Oval Maidan cricket grounds.
Kate impressed Sachin with her cricket skills, and the former India team captain cheered her on.
The royal couple met children from the local slums as part of a fundraiser to raise awareness of the local charities working with children.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Sachin said: "What a fantastic experience it was to meet the Duke and Duchess.
They were a remarkable couple and made us feel so comfortable. They were really humble."
He continued to say of the Duchess: "She batted, she fielded, she did everything!"
She wore a stunning colourful printed gown by Mumbai designer Anita Dongre, with a pair of wedge heels.
A source close to the Duchess revealed: "She really wanted to wear a local designer at the earliest possible opportunity as a tribute to Mumbai's wonderful design talent.
This dress is a perfect way to do that."
After their game of cricket, Will and Kate headed back to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel for a celebration dinner with some of India's biggest stars.
Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the event to welcome the Royal couple to India.
Kate wore a blue and silver sparkly gown for the event, while Will opted for a classic tuxedo.
Will and Kate will spend a week touring India as part of their Royal visit.
