The key to this lesson is learning how to remove dark circles naturally.
To learn how to remove dark under eye circles: open the data file remove_dark_circles.psd
Once you’ve done so, find the Background layer in the Layers panel and right-click on it.
Then select Duplicate Layer.
Go ahead and click on the OK button.
Then, once back to the image, click on the Zoom tool in the Tools panel.
Zoom in on the eye area where we’ll be working on removing dark under-eye circles.
Now, let’s go back to the Tools panel and select the Clone Stamp tool.
In the Options bar, we’re going to lower the opacity.
Click on the Opacity arrow then click and drag the Opacity slider to the left until it reaches around 40%.
Afterwards, click on the Mode arrow and select Lighten from the list.
Now, because we selected the Lighten mode
the only areas that will be affected are those that are darker than the sampled area.
Now, let’s adjust the brush size to about 25 pixels.
Also, make sure that the Hardness is at 0%.
After you’re finished setting the Master Diameter and the Hardness let’s get out of here by clicking on the Brush arrow.
Then bring the curser to an area of the face that you would like to sample.
Then holding down the Alt key on your keyboard click once.
Then using your mouse click and drag across the dark under-eye in order to remove it.
Let’s repeat the same thing on the other eye.
Again, hold down the Alt key and sample an area by clicking on it once.
Then click and drag across the dark under-eye in order to remove it.
Now, in order to see before and after effect, turn the Visibility icon off on the Background copy layer.
You can definitely see the difference.
Now, let’s fit the image back to the screen by clicking on the Zoom tool.
Then on the Options bar, click on the Fit Screen button.
