I am using Revlon Nearly Naked for my foundation, and I am just going to stipple that all over
my face. Now for concealer, I am using L'Oreal True Match. I really like to use the Sigma
Tapered Kabuki for this because I feel like it's really great for when you want to get
into the curves and crevices of your face. So, I am just going to start blending that
out right now. I just use a dark brown pencil by wet n wild to fill in my brows, and blend
everything out with a spoolie.
Now I am just using another wet n wild pencil in the color "Sable," on the ends of my brows
because I feel it gives a more natural look to use two colors. Remember your brows are
sisters, not twins so don't stress over trying to make them carbon copies of each other.
I used to stress about that, but then I was just like: "NEVERMIND."
To place my contour color, I use the large fluff brush by Sigma. Then I am going to contour
my nose a little bit, just drawing a subtle line. Then to sort of blend in that contour
color, I use a tapered brush. You can see that the contour comes out pretty strong.
Ok, so Ben Nye Banana powder is really great for highlighting because it's non cakey and
it leaves a highlight without flashback. That's great because I hate flashback...so much.
So I am going to try to pick up just a little bit, I always put too much in the cap than
I actually need. I am placing a little bit of it under my eye, and under where I contoured.
Tap the excess off to prevent caking on your skin and fall out all over your clothes. So
now for the fun part, to bring it all together, I am now blending it all in with my large
powder brush by sigma. This will ensure the highlight and the contour blend seamlessly.
Blend, blend, blend you guys you can't blend enough! Blending is what does it.
I am going to start her look with the crease color. Because her look is very natural I
am going to use the same color I used on my cheekbones in my crease. I find that using
the same contour color all over your face leaves a very natural contoured look. I am
going to go back for my "Unbridled" from the LORAC Unzipped palette.
I am just placing the color on the outer corner of my eye. I am placing it in this upward
motion because I want it to have an edge, just not a sharp edge. Blend, blend, blend
again.
There is what that looks like, I can pull you guys in a little closer just so you can
see! Now that we are moving on to the eyes, I want you all to be closer *singing.*
I am sweeping a gold color all over my lid, and just because I want a very gentle wash
of color I am going to use my angled shader brush by sigma to very gently wash that color
on.
OOOH! This is perfect guys, I am so excited *sing song voice.* Because it does look like
she has black definition along the outer corner of her lower lash line, I am going to go in
with a smudge brush from my Sigma performance eye kit and my black eyeshadow from the LORAC
Pro palette.
I am just going to take more of that pewter and a tiny blending brush from the Sigma performance
kit. I love this for applying precise washes of color and blending. It looks like she has
a black smoked out liner going on the upper lash line. I am using my smudge brush again,
and I flick that out just a little bit.
I am going to use "Taupe" by MAC, a matte orange toned lipstick that will mute the pink
from my lips. This has a terracotta finish with orange undertones, very similar to the
shade she has on. I am just touching it on gently. Because it also looks like she has
a lip liner on I am going to line my lips, with a brown lip liner, and that is the finished
lip look. It looks a little glossy, so I am going to apply NYX Butter Gloss in "Tiramisu"
to the center of my lips. I am just dabbing it on. I love NYX Butter Glosses.
Hey guys, so I put the lashes on! I used ardell 110 because they are so natural. Looking at
her again, it looks like the black is a little more intense and I have blended that out so
I started to intensify it a little more using the same smudge brush and LORAC Pro palette
shadow that I used in the first place. Very easy, I am just applying more black shadow
on top of the line.
Hey guys, this is the finished look. I hope you enjoyed watching as much as I enjoyed
making the video! This is a really similar look to Kerry Washington's signature look,
definitely on the red carpet, but also a little toned down for everyday. If you want to see
a list of all the products I used to get this look, please check my blog, everything i use
in these tutorials will be detailed in post corresponding to each video! I will put the
