It was really easy. They were just like, "Do you want to rent them?" and I said, "Yes". [Laughter]
I believe I saved a couple hundred.
I probably ended up saving about fifty dollars.
I probably saved a couple hundred bucks
The books at the SDSU Bookstore, I thought were fairly cheaper
than actually, you know, purchasing the book. Um..
There were some books that I didn't feel like I needed to keep
so I just rented it instead and I felt like that was good for me.
It was very easy, I didn't have to do very much work for it.
I liked how I had the option for all of...
any of the books that I wanted, that I could rent it and save money.
And then returning them was super easy.
I brought study notes cause I thought I'd be waiting in line, but
I was not.
Just turn it in and you know they just mark you down real quick. It takes two minutes.
Hi I'm Todd Summer, the campus store's Director here at the SDSU Bookstore.
I'm here to talk to you about text book rental.
Virtually any book in the store is available to rent.
That's tremendous savings.
In fact students are saving over $2 million per year
renting text books instead of purchasing them.
Well if you're in the store, shopping in the store,
just get your books off the shelf,
go to the cashier
and tell them you want to rent instead of purchasing.
It's that easy.
If you want to do it through our EZ Books program,
whether you're going to pick up or ship,
you can do that as well.
You just have an option of whether you want to rent a book
or purchase it.
Just go to sdsubookstore.com
or the webportal,
and you're all set.
