On this nail we are going to do a gel rose.
We have already done a base and acrylic
by doing a sculptured stiletto so we are ready for our gel design to go straight on top.
So the base of the design we are going to use
cracked ice. We are going to do the base of nail in clear gel.
Nice thin coat over the whole nail.
Then picking up your cracked ice,
I'm using green up onto the tip.
Try and press it down but it won't curve so don't worry if it is still spiking up quite a bit.
Then we are using an iridescent colour
coming down on the nail bed
and this is just going to create a back drop for our roses.
That can go under the lamp for 3 minutes.
We are going to encase this whole nail now in clear gel.
So thin layer on everywhere
and again really make sure you are really working it in between those bits of cracked ice
so that there are no air bubbles.
And then a build layer.
I always use extra when I am using the cracked ice so it does get right into there.
Let it settle, using the tip of your brush to move it.
Making sure you don't touch that skin.
Then back into the lamp for 3 minutes.
So we need to take that sticky layer off this nail now.
Don't worry about the spiky cracked ice because once you file it
you won't have that.
So we are going to file this nail and then we are going to put the gel roses on top.
Get rid of your dust
and this is where we are going to build the design up for the roses.
So placing a bead of white gel wherever you want your first rose to be.
Then going into the red.
Placing your brush into the centre and swirl round.
Then back into your white.
And then just repeat that wherever you want your roses.
Make sure that brush is clean before you go back into your white.
Now pop that into the lamp for 10 seconds just to hold it in place.
Now that can come back out.
And then I'm going to do the leaves. So we are picking up yellow,
placing a bead of yellow down. Then going into our green
and pulling it up to a leaf shape.
Keep bringing that brush up to a nice point
so you get nice short leaves.
Ok, back into the lamp for 10 seconds just to hold it.
Now we are just going to finish off by doing the vine.
Small amount of your green,
just attaching those roses up and extending off if you want to.
Back into the lamp for a full 3 minutes.
So all that is left to do is have its gel top coat on
and back into the lamp for 2 minutes.
We're just going to apply some cuticle oil now.
Massage it in.
And that is your gel roses done.
