It's a traditional urban aesthetic married to what we call 80s harlem chic. It's clean
refined streetwear married with elements leisurewear and sportswear. It's very comfortable, it's
very colorful, and very different. Its the mixing and matching that makes fashion very
exciting. The inspiration was 80s Harlem. Very New York. Very tough but chic. So, we've
gone with the braids. Full braided and we've got braided to the nape and then a bit looser.
It's harlem grunge .. gold into greens .. all these kind of acidy green colors. It's really
just kind of a hot New York girl. We are really at a big party. Kenneth Cole's presentation.
It's a little wild in here. I think right now this is the place to be at New York Fashion
Week. Oddly the models are taking pictures of us. And we are taking pictures of the models.
So, it's all rather confusing but rather fabulous.
"I love coming to Kenneth's shows. He's a good friend. And I love his stuff," says Mario
Cantone, comedian.
"I think it's playful and fun. They're entertaining. They're versatile. People want multifunctional
clothing that they can dress up and dress down, " says Phillip Block, celeb stylist.
