We're very excited about our upcoming Austrian Economics Research Conference
which takes place here at our campus in Auburn, from March 20th through 22nd.
We're especially honored to host Judge Andrew Napolitano,
well known as a Fox legal analyst, constitutional expert, author,
and, I might add, an enthusiastic supporter of the Mises Institute. Our
second keynote speaker
is James Grant, the famous expert on finance, well known for his many decades
publishing Grant's Interest Rate Observer.
He's also a very serious critic of the Federal Reserve. Some the conference we'll
stream live on our website, mises.org.
During the Austrian Economics Research Conference we encourage those who are
interested in watching Mr. Grant
or Judge Napolitano, to tune in at mises.org on Thursday, March 20th,
during the late morning and early afternoon. Our academic conferences are
really at the heart of
what we do here at the Mises Institute, which is to train and educate young
people
with kind of economics learning they can't get from traditional bricks
and mortar colleges. You may be familiar with our summer week-long Mises U ,
which is really a time for undergraduate students and even some high school
students from around the world,
to come here to Auburn, meet with some of the greatest Austrian
academics alive. And many of our students at Mises U go away describing the
week
as a life-changing experience. By contrast,
our Austrian Economics Research Conference in March, is a professional conference
rather than a student conference.
Academics, researchers, and PhD candidates come to Auburn to present academic
papers
that are on the cutting edge of advances in the Austrian tradition.
It's also a networking conference for leading Austrian thinkers around the globe.
Our goal is to launch new generations of
young professionals into academia, finance, business, and public policy,
where they can challenge the Keynesian mainstream and make the case for a truly
free societies as they go about their professional lives.
As always, your financial support for the Austrian economics research conference
and the Mises Institute, makes it possible for us to advance
Austrian economics, freedom, and peace. Please help us with your most generous
contribution
as we make 2014 our biggest and best year yet.
