There is no excuse at all for any of us to continue to do our sin. When I repented of
my sin and turned to Jesus, he gave me the power turns from all sin and to follow him
free from sin every day. People then ask me; well since Jesus set you free from following
your sin every day, well that means you no longer struggle with sin and no longer do
sin and longer get tempted and things like this. I want to tell you very clearly that
yes we do get tempted by sin even after Jesus frees us, because this world is a test to
see our hearts intentions and my heart is certainly very sinful. It is very very sinful,
and if the Lord judged me according to my flesh and my heart I would definitely be condemned,
if Jesus did not cover me with his blood. But because of my faith in Jesus, he has forgiven
me of my flesh, the wicked way that it is. But woe to me if I should follow it. And so
if I should go following after my wicked flesh instead of the new way that Jesus gave me,
then I will heap upon myself God's judgment, because I am coming out from under the blood
of Jesus and walking in iniquity. But if I repent and I do not do those things anymore,
but I turn to the Lord and say I'm sorry I turn from that way my heart, the Lord Jesus
will forgive me and cover my sins. Since I've follow Jesus, I have fallen to sins here and
there and done things that I should not have done and the Lord warned me to repent and
to come off that path that I was going to follow or starting to follow, and he gave
me mercy to repent. But if I should fall to those paths today and continue in them; 1.
I will not be ready for Jesus if he should return today, 2. if I should die my wilful
sin I would be liable to be ending up in hell, and 3. I am treating the name of Jesus with
disgrace. So this applies to you also. I know we are not perfect but we have to be striving
for that perfection. Never make excuse for one sin. I know we do sin at times. I certainly
do. But Jesus gives me grace to repent and I learn from that lesson and I don't continue
to follow that way, and Jesus already gave me freedom from slavery to sin. But I am warning
you that if you go away from Jesus and back into sin you become a slave to sin again,
then you are not free and you are no longer under the blood of Jesus. It is like you went
out from under the blood on the door post in the days of Israel in Egypt and you go
out into the street and the death angel can strike you down. You are not protected. That's
what happens when we leave the blood of Jesus and go off into our sin. I don't claim perfection
and I don't claim complete sinlessness that Jesus was. But what I do claim is that Jesus
set me free from doing my sin and he gave me the power to follow him and though I may
fall to mistakes here and there, I certainly turn away from those ways because I love the
Lord I want to pass the test. In the eyes of God no sin is fine and is not okay and
if I am living in sin today woe to me. Woe to you also if today you are living in sin.
Repenting of a sin every day and doing doing it again the next day is not repenting. That's
living in sin. Woe to you and woe to me who to do that. If we see that we're in sin, we
have to come out of it in full repentance before the Lord and pray to him and ask him
to forgive us, and then he will certainly free you and you wont have to do that sin
again the next day. But when you get tested to do it, and a strong powerful temptation
comes to cause you to do it, it is that point you are going to see where your heart really
is before the Lord. And if you really chose him in repentance, it is that point where
you would say; no no I will not follow this and I will continue to follow my Lord free
from this sin, and then the power of it will leave you. The Lord test those who love him.
I hope you pass the test. I hope I pass the test also. That's what I'm striving to do.
What you doing? Are you striving to pass the test also? Or are you just continuing to sin?
