The KAPITAEL ZWEI KOLEKTIF is a fusion of various artists from all areas
of fine and performing arts,
sciences, cultural managment and computer science.
We have been working together since 2012
and we are creating performative installations
and experimental party forms.
Our next project is a long term performance in September.
As a group of 60 people, we will move
into the "Schaustelle" of the "Pinakothek der Moderne".
This long term performance is primarily an experiment.
We are developing some presettings that all participants
including us, have to follow strictly, 24/7.
The citizens of this state within a state
have to run through a highly-efficient and strictly monitored daily routine
extending over the entire structure of the site.
The necessity of this process
will be tightened by a software
which coordinates all the movements.
We will attach lines onto the ground,
which have to be followed by the performer
during the whole duration of the performance.
The rules we develop are not invented randomly
but crystallized from current social conditions.
However, the rules are more concrete and less diffuse then in reality.
By concentrating certain phenomena,
we try to make them more noticeable,
both for the audience
and for the participating performers.
Actually the software is adjusted in a way
hat you don't meet each other on the lines, telling you:
"You have to take this line, you're going to psychoanalysis"
So the software will know:
"Ok, this line is not occupied at that particular moment,
so I'll redirect the other performer. "
Nevertheless, it will occur that you'll meet
each other on a line because we're all humans in the end.
Then there are two options:
Either you'll hit each other until the police will arrive and arrest you.
Or, the other option: you'll have to kiss each other.
The access to this art space, or artificial real space, is limited.
You have to identify yourself, you have to register.
You may participate but under very special conditions.
That is why this place and this project are so attractive.
You can't have such an experience somewhere else,
such a thing is not possible at a museum at all.
The location of the event and the concept
are already assured.
Unfortunately, the financial situation isn't.
We already have some supporters like the "Muenchner Kammerspiele",
the "Pinakothek der Moderne" and "Oxfam".
But this support is far from sufficient
since large fields such as the technical side,
the food, the material
and external costs are hardly covered at all.
The "Schaustelle" is a project that came to life
as the "Museum of Modern Art" had to close for several months.
It is an additional project
that wasn't mentioned in any financial plan.
This means that all sponsoring had to be mobilized through private funding,
e.g. through our supporting circle or other private supporters.
KAPITAEL ZWEI KOLEKTIF is pursuing a project that is particularly complicated
which is, however, particularly special.
That's why we need special support and special help.
Anyone can contribute something, by donating materials,
by spreading the word, but also by donating money.
We are grateful about everything, and the project will thank you for that.
