It takes a long time to get into shape for a scene like that. It's a bit like peaking
for a marathon, you have to be ready on the day.
Hugh Jackman has been talking about getting into shape and appearing naked in X-Men Days
of Future Past.
I remember being so ready leading up to it. All the eating and the training you do for
months. And it gets very specific. And the AD came up to me and said 'We're gonna move
that scene in the hotel room. We're gonna move it to two weeks later.' And I said, 'Here's
the deal. You can do whatever scene you want on May 21st but I will be naked. That's all
I'm telling you. it could be on a plane, it could be in the White House. I don't care,
I will have my clothes off and that is the only day I will have them off.'
Game of Throne's Peter Dinklage who plays military scientist Bolivar Trask had something
to say about that.
I was his body double for that scene. Little known fact.
Jackman who's playing his character Wolverine fore the seventh time was also asked about
reports that Channing Tatum is to star as the superhero Gambit in the movie.
I'm thrilled for Channing. I've never heard of him. He's an up and coming actor?
- Yeah - Yeah, so it's a great-
He's a dancer, I think.
A dancer, yeah. But it's a great break for him. I too was unknown before I did it so
I hope it does big things for him. For me, having been involved from the beginning,
I think they're getting better and better. This film, to me, feels as fresh and original and
as new. It feels like a beginning, it doesn't feel like an end, and the fact that someone
of his stature and his talent is coming on board, I think speaks high volumes to the
Marvel characters, to the X-Men characters.
We need you to hope again.
